Tatura Milk provided a $50,000 sponsorship for GV Health to create a new mental health scholarship program.
The funds, raised during Tatura Milk’s annual Tatura 200 charity bike ride, will support the recruitment of new graduates to be employed in GV Health mental health services.
The retention rates of graduates doing placements at GV Health, especially from metropolitan areas, needs improvement. There is a misconception that you have to work in a metropolitan area to advance your career. However, we can take someone who has completed their placement through to becoming a fully qualified clinician, right here in Shepparton.
In exchange GV Health will also work with Tatura Milk to promote a mentally healthy workplace. Employees will have the opportunity to participate in mental health and wellbeing programs in the workforce.
