New digital televisions a welcome distraction

Patient watching one of the new tvs in the Mary Coram unitIt is 11pm and patients and residents throughout GV Health are watching television in bed.

The obsolete analogue televisions were removed and replaced with digital flat screen televisions this year, ensuring a permanent, upgraded solution in place for patients to enjoy while staying in hospital.

The flat screen tvs, ceiling mounted and 22 inches in size, were installed throughout the Graham Street campus wards.

The new service includes digital tv, digital radio channels and PayTV Movie options.

Payment is required to use these services (except for Private Patients and Department of Veterans Affairs patients). Payment machines are located in each ward to turn on the service at your bedside.
