Patients begin rehabilitation within Mary Coram Unit

Jacqui Hall with a patient It is 9am and patients in the Mary Coram Unit are starting rehabilitation. No longer do patients from this ward need to be transported to other wards to take part in rehabilitation, thanks to the expansion of the ward.

The GV Health Mary Coram Unit was expanded this year to increase services, accommodation and comfort for patients.

The new building accommodates an additional eight sub-acute beds and enables patients to access therapy services and accommodation from the one location. The new facility also features a purpose-built daily living activity kitchen, where patients can be assisted to transition back to managing their normal daily activities before going home.
